I am publishing this post the day before I announce to the world that I am officially open for business. The name of my small business is called Learning to Live Fully LLC. It represents all my years of hard work deconstructing my belief system and replacing it with one that empowered me to live my best life.
It reflects the pain of bulldozing my foundation and assembling a new one brick by brick. It stands for my willingness to learn the energy healing modalities I have dedicated to studying and embodying this year. This small business symbolizes aspects of who I am and what I have to offer.
I am beyond excited to see my dreams coming to life before my eyes. For years, I imagined a day when I would know what I wanted to dedicate my life to. I’ve always known in my heart that I wanted to serve people in some way. I’ve always admired the people who came before me that helped change the world for the better.
I envisioned myself offering help outside of the standard career paths that didn’t seem to be making a difference. I saw so much suffering, and I desperately wanted to do something about it. The question that haunted me for a long time was, what could I do to help? The answer dawned on me when I was first introduced to energy healing.
Initially, I found it hard to believe. It was a foreign concept that seemed rather strange. But I keep seeing it crop up in different places of my life, so I decided to look further into it. While studying the subject, I came across numerous research that scientifically proved everything in the Universe is made of energy.
Furthermore, this energy can be used to heal ourselves and each other in many different ways. After educating myself on the matter, I decided it was what I wanted to do. To be here now, witnessing all my hard work and dedication come to fruition, feels surreal. I am so fucking proud of myself for everything I’ve accomplished and overcome, especially because this has been one of the most challenging years of my life for many different personal reasons.
And to top it off, I’m raising six kids, prioritizing daily self-care, cleaning, cooking healthy meals that nourish my body, continuously improving my business, blogging, and I’m still in school taking classes. I knew I was a strong woman, but this year has really shown me what I’m made of.
I am capable of so much more than I fathomed, and I am so grateful to have come this far. Humans really are capable of overcoming enormous feats in the face of overwhelming obstacles. It amazes me to no end and gives me hope we can come together to change things for the good of everyone.
I’ve been nervous about having my blog linked to my website. There is a part of me that feels really exposed. I hear a voice telling me that it’s unprofessional to put my personal life out there for clients to read; that I should at least try to make the appearance that I have it all together.
I always held people in my profession in high regard. I saw them as having an ideal life—people who had all the answers and didn’t struggle in the same manner as the rest of us. Being on the other side, I know now how untrue that misconception is, and I feel perpetuating that misinterpretation isn’t helpful to anyone.
The truth is I am still growing and learning like everyone else. I think my blog gives people an opportunity to see me as I am. That may turn some people away, but I hope it will give people the chance to truly get to know me. It’s terrifying to be so exposed, but also an honor to show people what is real.
I think the best gift I can give my clients is being completely authentic. I feel that is incredibly important in a world that places the bottom line above human dignity. People everywhere have endured enormous suffering, and I want to empower them to see themselves as the true kings and queens that they are.
